Policy
Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: June 1, 2026
This policy applies to all users — admins, teachers, students, and parents.
1. Prohibited Conduct
Prohibited: harassment, bullying, impersonation, sharing inappropriate content, bypassing access controls, recording classes without permission, uploading malware, spam.
2. Student Guidelines
Student rules: do not share login credentials, follow your school's platform rules, do not record or screenshot sessions without permission.
3. Admin Responsibility
School admin responsibility: enforce this policy within your workspace and report violations to support@hermesworkspace.com.
4. Content Standards
Content standards: no adult content, no violent content, nothing that violates Indian law including the IT Act 2000.
5. Consequences
Consequences: depending on severity — warning, suspension, or permanent termination of access. HermesWorkspace may remove content or suspend accounts without prior notice if required for platform safety.
6. Reporting and Takedown
HermesWorkspace provides an in-app report button for users to flag content or behaviour that violates this policy. What can be reported: inappropriate content, harassment, bullying, impersonation, unauthorised recordings, spam, or any content that violates Indian law. What happens after a report: Reports are reviewed by HermesWorkspace within 72 hours. If a violation is confirmed, we may remove the content, restrict the account, or suspend access — without prior notice. For severe violations (illegal content, child safety, threats), we may act immediately and report to relevant authorities. No abuse of the report function: filing false or malicious reports is itself a violation of this policy and may result in your account being suspended. School admin reports: school admins may report workspace-level concerns directly to support@hermesworkspace.com for faster resolution. HermesWorkspace's decision on reported content is final. We are not obligated to explain every moderation decision, but will notify affected parties where required by law.
